WordPress Plugin: JR Donate

Welcome to the release of my JR Donate WordPress Plugin.

Description
This PayPal Donate plugin displays a donate widget on your blog, which allows users to donate to you via PayPal.

The plugin uses javascript to display the donation form. Users can click a donation click, to show a form to enable users to enter their desired donation amount. They will then be transferred to PayPal to complete the transaction.

You can set the correct currency, which users are required to donate in. This means that you’ll receive the currency that you want.

It’s very easy to setup the plugin – Simply enable it, alter the settings and then enable the widget!

Installation
1. Upload `/jr-donate/` to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory

2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress

3. Edit the JR Donate Settings in your Administration Panel

4. Enable the Widget.

You can see a demo of all of my plugins at jakeruston.co.uk/testzone/

That’s my plugin testing zone, so don’t expect anything nice :)

  4. Jake Ruston says:

Have you altered the settings for the plugin in the Settings –> JR Donate area on your WordPress admin panel?

Also, have you enabled the widget in your Appearance –> Widgets area on your WordPress admin panel?

    Hope this helpful!

  5. Peter Moss says:

    Jake,

I went to your testzone site, but I could not see any screen shots.

    Thanks,
    Peter

  6. Jake Ruston says:

Peter Moss: My apologises. A few weeks ago I removed quite a lot of the plugins from the testzone so that I could test the new plugins in development without them all loading (Having all of my plugins running at once does slow it down).

  7. If you want to check the Donating Plugin (paypal) I am using it since the first day.
It’s located at the top of the side bar in http://www.eucmh.com
