Welcome to the release of my JR AntiSpam WordPress Plugin.
Description
This plugin allows you to block spam, very easily, efficiently and quickly!
It uses a CAPTCHA code on your comment form to stop automated spam bots. Users must enter the correct code to submit a comment. Logged in users do not see the CAPTCHA!
It’s very easy to setup the plugin – Simply enable it and alter the settings!
Installation
1. Upload `/jr-antispam/` to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
3. Edit the JR AntiSpam Settings in your Administration Panel

A tried a custom question with WP 2.8.5 and it gave commenter an error message that incorrectr code had been entered even though custom question was never displayed
Richard: Thanks for letting me know. I haven’t had this problem when testing, so I’ve e-mailed you asking for more information. Once I get that info, I’ll fix it for you
Sorry noob here. What settings am I altering? I looked through the edit menu and didn’t see anything that I could or was directed to change. Thanks. And sorry.

Hi, I get the same problem ar Richard… please let me know how to sort it!
Thanks
Rachel
thanks man this plugin totally awsome, JR AntiSpam kicking spammer ass
Great plugin! I’m using it on my personal blog and it has cut down spam to almost nothing. The problem nowadays is all the automated programs out there that spam blogs with generic comments. This plugin forces spammers to visit your blog and make a real comment. Thats too much work for a spammer, so they won’t bother!
Same question as Tim (which doesn’t seem to have been answered…):
Regarding Step #3 above, WHERE in Admin do you edit the JR Anti-Spam plugin settings?
Sorry for not being clear. To change the settings, go into Settings –> JR AntiSpam.

You don’t use your own captcha plugin on your own site?
Do you have an example website where we can see the AntiSpam plugin, in action?
It shows error that wrong code was entered but comment was added, spam is not blocked
It it compatible with 2.9.2?
Stephen: That’s a good point actually! I really should use it on my own site. I shall look into this.
snkp: Hmmm interesting problem. I need to look into this further.
Thanks a lot for sharing this commenting plugin, I will be trying it out on my blog because I am recieving a lot of spam comments per day and it really annoys me. I will also suggest this to my fellow bloggers.
i like this plugin. Spam must go trash
